Field trips are an exciting extension of classroom learning.
Field trip activities are chosen with care to reflect the Kindergarten curriculum. On field trip days, our class may either be "all early" or "all late" arrivers. A notice will be sent home in advance to let you know the schedule change and/or will be posted on the K webpage.
Off-site
In early January, K classes go to Fairy Land in Oakland. In late January, TK and K classes take a bus to St. Mary’s college to see a play. Parent chaperones are chosen after the permission slip is sent out.
On-site
We have 3-4 “on campus” field trips, where the experience comes to us. Lawrence Hall of Science presents “Animal Clues,” the Lindsay Museum visits with one of their live animal programs, the Marine Mammal Center presents “The Whale Bus,” and the Insect Discovery Lab visits with live insects from around the world.
